Hygiene education
Although clean water is and will continue to be our primary passion and mission, sanitary conditions and proper hygiene are crucial pieces to the larger puzzle of keeping children healthy and safe- and are directly related with clean and safe water. As such, A Child's Right requires sites to have all primary staff and caregivers attend interactive training sessions overseen by our staff with educational materials and teaching tools focusing on hygiene, food preparation, and sanitation practices. These materials will be in the local language, taught with the assistance of local educators and geared toward the highest level of impact within the means of the facility- we cannot change every aspect of the site, but we can give them the tools to ensure that all the necessary measures within their control and economic means have been undertaken. We monitor these changes for the full life of the water system.
Through education, prevention, and innovative approaches toward improving children's health in at-risk areas, we are ensuring that the safe and clean water being provided is not the only mechanism we are using to provide a better quality of life for these children. Together, clean water, better hygiene, and proper sanitation are the biggest gifts toward a healthy life you can provide these impoverished children.
