Clean water for kids
COLLABORATE
We look for outstanding partners, at every turn. The key to a child's right is the catalytic fusion of innovative thinking, scalable solutions, rigorous honesty, impassioned commitment, and authentic partnerships.

Our collaborative peers bring true leverage to bear. There is so much that we cannot do – like run hospitals, or manage orphanages – that aligning with great partners allows us to do what we can do best.

a child's right enjoys working with in-country partners, manufacturers, donors and allies – each of whom play a pivotal role in assuring consistently safe water for children.

METHODOLOGY
Through years in the field, we have developed a reliable formula for approaching each new project. We consistently integrate five key elements: Vetting, Collaborative Planning, Implementation, Sustainability, and Training.

As is true throughout our organization, a child's right field staff are dedicated to continually learning and improving. Honesty about failure, open communication about new ideas, and a deep passion for safe drinking water are critical to success.

TECHNOLOGY
The ability to clean up contaminated water is both fascinating (technically) and crucial (globally). Through our work, we have found that current technologies can bring new solutions to previously vexing problems – provided they are locally appropriate, and are monitored over time.

Where our approach is not the best choice, we say so. Where it is, we move forward. Our decisions are always made in consort with the local site leadership, such that we are not imposing our agenda, but responding to a request. Likewise, we only install a system where it is our intent and plan to transfer ownership and control – to well-trained local leadership – in the eleventh year (or to decommission the system if the need goes away).

a child's right’s systems are not appropriate for individual homes. But for an institution serving hundreds or thousands of children, they are a dream come true.
