A Child's Right

History
Background: Although there are several organizations focusing on clean water and hygiene education in developing countries, most do not focus specifically on children. The majority of these organizations primarily concentrate on community development and perform most of their work in rural locations. They are performing tremendous work that is providing better lives for millions of people every year and we are humbled by the substantial change these organizations have enacted and commitment they bring to their work. However, from extensive overseas work revolving around water purification for children in poor countries, the founders of A Child's Right have seen firsthand which facilities are not receiving foreign assistance.

A Child's Right was established to fill this gap and provide charitable relief for children living in orphanages and street shelters as well as those attending schools and visiting children's hospitals in impoverished urban and semi-urban areas in underdeveloped countries. This target population remains severely underserved and as such our mission revolves solely around these children and improving their lives through relatively simple provisions and education.

Makeup: A Child's Right is a nonprofit relief organization formed by a collective of concerned professionals wishing to change the current living standards and health of impoverished children the world over. Our staff, members and consultants come from very diverse backgrounds working with water purification and sanitation technologies, water quality issues at US governmental standards, hygiene education practices, pediatric care, and international relief work. Individually we have strong professional specialties and accomplished careers; collectively we make a very solid and focused team sharing the same goal of providing children in need with the most basic of rights. This common mission has brought together a tremendous group of caring, hard working, compassionate and hopeful people who wish to change the lives of thousands of children every year through our collective work.

Focus: A Child's Right believes that all children should have access to clean and safe water and improved sanitation in their living environments. To our agency, this is a basic right of every child anywhere in the world and one that should be sought after with diligence. In this day and age, with the technologies and education models currently available, this goal is no longer unattainable. We can provide substantial and sustainable changes that will affect large numbers of children with every single project we undertake.

Our beliefs are strong, our members are driven, our mission is precise, and our process is thoroughly and efficiently overseen. Most important: our goals are achievable. We can change the current situation facing so many children who go daily without clean water and clean living situations. With your help we can provide the most essential of rights to those in the direst of circumstances.
